NORTHRIDGE, Calif. –
The Cal State Northridge baseball program has scheduled a pitchers and catchers camp for Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29 at Matador Field, head coach Greg Moore and his staff announced today. The camp will give high school pitchers and catchers the opportunity to develop mechanics and learn what it takes to excel in their position at the collegiate level and beyond.
Coach Moore and his assistants will offer tips on proper mechanics, throwing programs, and more. This opportunity allows players to connect with coaches that have experience at the top level of collegiate baseball.
Since 2007, Coach Moore's pitching staffs have produced three first-round picks in the MLB Draft. Only Stanford and Vanderbilt have had more during the same time period. Working with mostly unrecruited players from the high school ranks, Moore has had success in cultivating talent and helping his pitchers achieve their goals.
The cost of registration for the camp is $250 per player for both days. A single-session option is also available for $150 per player. Campers are required to bring their own equipment and are responsible for their own transportation to and from Matador Field. Each camper must complete the proper registration and waiver forms, which can be found at the link below, before being allowed to participate.
The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Pizza and Gatorade will be provided at lunchtime for campers on Saturday only.
