NORTHRIDGE, Calif. –
The Cal State Northridge baseball program will conduct a series of camps this summer, the coaching staff announced Thursday. The camps are open to all players in grades 1-8 and will be run by the current Matador Baseball staff and players.
Instruction will focus on hitting, baserunning, pitching, catching, infield and outfield and campers will participate in simulated games each day. Campers will be provided with lunch each day and a camp T-shirt and will have an opportunity to swim at the campus pool on selected days.
The summer camps are comprised of four sessions, two of which will be held at Matador Field on the campus of Cal State Northridge. Sessions three and four will take place at Simi Valley High School and Montrose Community Park in Crescenta, respectively.
All sessions will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and extended hitting instruction from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. can be arranged daily. Early drop off options are available as well and must be arranged with the coaching staff ahead of time.
Each camp session lasts for five days and the cost per camper is $250 per session. A discounted cost of $215 per player is available when five or more players from the same team register together.
Campers that register prior to May 18 will receive an early registration price of $225.
