Dylan Young made his CSUN?debut on Opening Day as the starting catcher and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. He went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in Northridge’s 8-7 extra-inning win over Northwestern (2/25 - Game 2). Young came in as a defensive replacement against San Diego (3/3) and went 1-for-2 at the plate.

ALLAN HANCOCK COLLEGE

Young played two seasons for the Bulldogs in Santa Maria, Calif. as the starting catcher. He was named to the All-Conference Team in 2011 while hitting for a .308 average.

FAITH LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL

Young played four years of baseball for the Crusaders and head coach Tony Girod, seeing time as an infielder and catcher. His team won the 3A State Championship in 2005 and 2007, and Young earned a number of accolades in his career. In 2005, 2006, and 2007 he was named to the 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State as a utility player. In 2008 he was named to the 1st Team All-Conference, 1st Team All-State and was the 3A State MVP as a shortstop. During his time at Faith Lutheran, he compiled a .428 batting average.
