Women's Student-Athlete of the Week: Lorraine Cheung, Tennis

Cal State Northridge junior Lorraine Cheung had a big week on the tennis courts for the Matadors, going a perfect 3-0 in both doubles and singles matches. 

Cheung, a junior from Hong Kong, has now won a season-high four straight matches in singles competition. She posted straight-set victories over Eastern Michigan, Stetson and Pacific last week, losing no more than five games in any set. She is now 5-3 on the season. 

In doubles competition, Cheung teamed with senior Maria Pistalu to go a perfect 3-0 in doubles competition at the No. 2 draw. The duo won 8-1 over Pacific, 8-5 over Stetson and 8-3 over Eastern Michigan. They are now 8-1 on the season as a doubles tandem.
