Junior Haley White scored a career-high 21 points and eight field goals in the Matadors' dramatic 80-70 double-overtime victory over Cal Poly. In the victory, White added six rebounds, five assists, three steals and tied a career best with four free throws.
Northridge went on a 10-0 run over the final four minutes of the second half to force the extra period. In the first overtime, CSUN once again extended the game on a late field goal, this one coming with just five seconds left on the clock.
White's previous career high had been a 17-point performance at UC Irvine in her freshman season. The 21 points Saturday marked the first time that she scored in double-figures all season. She enters Wednesday's contest at CSU Bakersfield averaging 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
