Cal State Northridge sophomore Camille Mahlknecht had a strong start to conference play and helped lead the Matadors to a 2-0 record in the Big West's opening weekend.
At UC Riverside on Jan. 3, Mahlknecht posted her fourth double-double of the season by finishing with 13 points and 13 rebounds. The 13 boards tied a career high and she also tied a career high with three steals.
Two days later, Mahlknecht grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds and added seven points as the Matadors defeated Cal State Fullerton.
For the season, Mahlknecht is averaging 7.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game. She leads the Big West in blocks per game and ranks fourth in the conference in rebounds per game.
