Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Marisa Miller, Women's Soccer

Junior Marisa Miller scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the Matadors’ 3-0 victory over CSU Bakersfield in the regular season finale on October 30.

After freshman Hannah Wissler made a long run up the left side of the field, she fed a cross into the penalty area that Miller one-timed into the near post. Miller nearly doubled her career total later in the match, but rang one off the post.

For the season, Miller has appeared in 13 matches while recording seven shots with one assist. In her career at Northridge, she has two assists and four career points.

Miller will graduate a semester early this December with a degree in Early Childhood Development with a minor in Family Studies. She will then begin her pursuit of a Master's Degree at CSUN starting in the spring of 2012.
