Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Casey Hinger, Women's Volleyball
Freshman Casey Hinger propelled the Matadors to a season sweep over UC Riverside as she knocked 13 kills while hitting .458 in 24 swings. Hinger also added a match-high three aces and finished the night with a match-high eight blocks as CSUN won consecutive matches for the first time since early Sepetember. Hinger currently ranks among the top-10 in the Big West in both hitting percentage and blocks.
Northridge is on the road this week, playing contests at Cal State Fullerton (Oct. 28) and Long Beach State (Oct. 29). The Matadors return home to open November, hosting UC Davis (Nov. 5) and Pacific (Nov. 6). The match with the Aggies is a Red Rally Night where CSUN students will receive a free T-shirt with their student ID. Both contests start at 7 p.m. in The Matadome.
