Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Natalie Allen, Women's Volleyball
Northridge's Natalie Allen helped the Matadors post its second consecutive sweep at The Matadome as the Matadors topped UC Irvine 25-18, 25-11, 26-24 in a Big West match on Oct. 15.
A sophomore from Murrieta, Calif., Allen paced the Matadors offensively as she put down 11 kills (.250) while also adding a match-high 13 digs for her team-leading sixth double-double of the season. She also finished with a team-high two service aces in the match.
For the season, Allen is third on the squad with 141 kills, an average of 2.31 per set. She is hitting .121 for the season, leads the team with 16 aces and is second with 202 digs . In league play, she has 65 kills while hitting .154 with 83 digs.
This Saturday, October 22, the Matadors host UC Riverside at The Matadome at 7 p.m. The match will be the team's annual Breast Cancer Awareness night where fans wearing pink will receive free admission if they wear pink.
