Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Casey Hinger, Women's Volleyball
Freshman Casey Hinger had a match-high 14 kills while hitting
.478 as Cal
State Northridge defeated conference-leading Cal State Fullerton
to earn a
split in two Big West matches last week.
Against the Titans, Hinger's 14 kills, seven blocks, four digs and
one ace
propelled the Matadors to their first home win while also handing
Fullerton
its first conference loss.
Against Long Beach State, Hinger was also effective, putting down
15 kills
while hitting .314 to go with five blocks and three digs.
For the season, Hinger is hitting .265 with 129 kills and 55
blocks. Those
55 rejections rank sixth in the Big West Conference.
