Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Marisa Young, Water Polo
Freshman attacker Marisa Young helped lead nationally-ranked Cal
State Northridge to two impressive victories last weekend against
Cal State San Bernardino and La Verne.
Young led the Matador scorers with four goals as the 19th-ranked
Matadors recorded a 22-7 over La Verne in the home season finale at
Matador Pool.
Earlier in the day, Young tallied two goals as Cal State
Northridge pounded Cal State San Bernardino, 21-8.
Young also added two assists and two steals in the victories.
For the season, Young has 62 goals, second-best on the team and
sixth-best for a single season in school history.
Young will lead the Matadors this weekend (April 27-29) at the Big
West Tournament at UC Davis. The winner of the tournament receives
an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament at San Diego State from May
11-13.
