Women's Student-Athlete of the Week - Nigora Sirojiddinova, Tennis

Senior Nigora Sirojiddinova has put together a four-match winning streak in singles play for the Cal State Northridge women's tennis team. She is now 4-3 on the season and a perfect 3-0 against Big West Conference opposition.

On Feb. 25, Sirojiddinova posted a 6-4. 6-3 victory over UCR's Kat Saltarelli in the second singles draw as the Matadors posted a 7-0 sweep over the Highlanders. She also was the only CSUN player to record a point against Long Beach State, defeating a nationally ranked player also in the second singles draw.

In doubles action, she teamed with Anna Yang to post a 9-7 victory in their second-seeded draw, improving the duo's record to 4-3 on the season.

In her three-plus seasons at Northridge, Sirojiddinova owns a career record of 45-28 in singles and 40-25 in doubles play.
