Jeff Crelling is entering his fourth season (2012-13) as assistant strength & conditioning coach at Cal State Northridge.
At Cal State Northridge, Crelling is responsible for men's and women's basketball, men's volleyball, men's and women's soccer, and women's tennis.
Crelling had previous worked at UC Davis. Crelling was responsible for helping design and implement yearly strength, speed, agility and conditioning programs for the men's soccer, women's lacrosse, women's water polo, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, and women's rowing programs. He also designed and modified conditioning program for injured and returning student-athletes.
Prior to UC Davis, Crelling worked at the University of Nebraska-Omaha where he was a graduate assistant coach with the strength and conditioning program from 2006-08. He worked primarily with the men's and women's basketball and softball teams while also assisting with football.
Crelling interned at Virginia Commonwealth (VCU) from 2004-05, assisting with track & field and several other programs. From 2005 through 2006, Crelling served as the strength and conditioning coach at Dee Run High School in Richmond, Va.
Crelling earned his undergraduate degree in health, physical education and exercise science from VCU in 2005. Crelling then obtained his masters degree in physical education/coaching from Nebraska-Omaha in 2008.
Crelling is an active member of Mid-America Martial Arts. He is also a former competitive power lifter and a member of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team in Virginia for four years.
