Brittany Beckwith, an alumnus of California State University, Northridge, enters her second year as a graduate assistant athletic trainer.
Her primary sports coverage includes women's volleyball, and indoor/outdoor track & field.
She completed her undergraduate studies at CSUN as a member of the Athletic Training Education Program, earning her Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training in May 2010 and graduating Summa Cum Laude. She served two semesters as President of the CSUN Athletic Training Club, a time during which she took the lead in a research project "A Classification System Approach to Low Back Pain." She presented her research at the 2010 Far West Athletic Trainer's Association (FWATA) Annual Symposium in Honolulu, Hawaii, being awarded "Best Student Presentation."
As an undergraduate athletic training student, Brittany gained experience working with the CSUN men's and women's soccer teams (Spring 2010), as well as the football teams at both College of the Canyons and Notre Dame High School (Fall 2008 and 2009).
In the summer of 2009, Beckwith also had the opportunity to work with athletes outside of the conventional sports setting, being selected to attend the NATA Xtreme Leadership Xperience that was held at the Summer X-Games in Los Angeles, CA.
She is currently working on her Master's Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Biomechanics, looking to graduate in Spring 2012.
