Cristi Allen has been a member of the Matador Achievement Center since its inception in August, 2013.
Cristi began working with CSUN’s student-athletes as a peer mentor in 2009, and continued her work mentoring athletes while completing both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She is now the Mentoring Coordinator for the Matador Achievement Center.
Cristi works in collaboration with the Academic Advisors and the Coaching staff to ensure that the student-athletes are receiving the help that they need to be academically successful. She coordinates a team of mentors who assist student-athletes in developing useful life skills.
Cristi received her B.A. in Economics from CSUN in 2011. While she was working towards her degree she competed on the CSUN Track and Field team, with the pole vault as her event.
Cristi extended her stay at CSUN and earned her master’s degree in Public Administration at CSUN, graduating in May of 2013.
