Sixteen Matadors Earn All-Big West Conference Academic Honors
IRVINE, CALIF. - Four student-athletes from men's soccer, women's volleyball and women's cross country, three from women's soccer and one men's cross country runner have earned All-Big West Academic honors as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

A quartet of juniors represented the women's volleyball team in Heather Fobian, Jessica Hammerich, Unn Kvendseth and Becky Moores. One senior, Jeff Okerman, and three juniors Juan Guerrero, Radames Lafaurie and Yossi Raz earned honors for men's soccer, while seniors Rosanna Kirkendall, Joselyn Ontiveros, Andrea Palacio and junior Angela Talarico received the award from the women's cross country team. Senior Shannon DeVos and sophomores Jen Jasper and Leila Pate were named to the team from women's soccer, as was men's cross country junior Ken Benesh.

To be eligible for the Fall All-Academic team, student-athletes have to maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, have attained a sophomore standing academically at CSUN and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
