NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Cal State Northridge has selected Julie Sandoval as its new Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance Services.
Sandoval will oversee all areas of NCAA compliance, including the monitoring of all recruiting activities and student-athlete eligibility. She will also organize and conduct various seminars educating all coaches and student-athletes of the newest policies and procedures drafted and implemented by the NCAA, prepare grant-in-aids, and National Letters of Intent.
"I am delighted to have an outstanding administrator such as Julie Sandoval join our staff as assistant athletic director/compliance services," stated Cal State Northridge Athletic Director Rick Mazzuto. "She comes to us with tremendous experience in NCAA compliance work as well as a long career as a collegiate coach."
Sandoval joins CSUN after spending the last five years with UC Santa Barbara in the same position.
Prior to her time at Santa Barbara, Sandoval spent ten years as the Associate Athletic Director/SWA at Cal State Dominguez Hills. In addition to her compliance-related responsibilities, Sandoval also served as head volleyball coach for two seasons and taught in the Physical Education Department.
Before being named associate athletic director at Dominguez Hills, Sandoval served an assistant women's volleyball coach at Santa Clara for 10 years, Cal Poly for one year, and Cal State Fullerton for three years before starting her career in athletic compliance at Dominguez Hills.
Sandoval holds both a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Long Beach State and Master's degree in Educational Administration from Santa Clara University.
