Matador Fund

Join Matador Athletics
Matador Athletics supports more than 400 student-athletes competing in 19 NCAA Division I sports.

Your philanthropic support of the Matador Excellence Fund plays a pivotal role in our ability to meet the escalating costs of intercollegiate athletics while still providing the best possible environments for our teams to compete and succeed at the highest levels. The Matador Excellence Fund generates funds to assist in covering program expenses such as scholarships, academic services, life skills development and recruiting. Your investment in the Matador Excellence Fund, no matter the level, is an investment not only in CSUN Athletics, but in the future of our student-athletes. We encourage you to join us in our efforts to provide these exemplary individuals with the tools to succeed in life.

Ways to Give
Cash Gifts - Send checks, or money orders, made payable to the Cal State Northridge Foundation, using the downloadable pledge/gift form. You may make a one-time gift or a multi-payment gift. Pledge/Gift Form (PDF)

Online Gifts - It's easy and convenient to make a secure, online credit card gift to CSUN. Just click Make an Online Gift Now and fill out the giving form. Select Matador Athletics or designate the sport of your choice. You can also check to see if your company has a matching gift program. Once you submit your gift online, the Cal State Northridge Foundation will charge your credit card according to your instructions and send you an acknowledgment letter that serves as your tax-deductible receipt. Stocks, Securities, and Planned Gifts. Gifts of stock and securities, as well as planned gifts such as bequests, charitable gift annuities and charitable remainder trusts are an important source of support for CSUN. Planned gifts can also provide a life income to the donor. To find out more about making gifts of stock or creating a planned gift, visit our Planned Giving website.

Endowment: The establishment of an endowment is an excellent way to ensure that Matador Athletics scholarships and programs are funded in perpetuity. The corpus of the gift amount is invested and only a portion (usually 4%) is paid out for the intended purpose. Endowment funds can be in your name or the name of a loved one. Donors may establish and fund an endowment in a variety of ways.
